My name is Shaley Egidi and I am 21. I have been riding for 8 years. I just started doing 3 day eventing and was having some trouble with my dressage. I have known David Jeffers for 5 years and have watched him take some very green horses and turn them into amazing riding horses. So I decided to ask him for help with my young eventing horse. We had been having some trouble with our collected gaits and in one lesson with David we were able to move around the dressage ring slowly and quietly. I continued to work on the things that I learned in my lesson and in my first event with my horse I scored a 26.7 in dressage. What I really love about David is that when he works with my horse I can actually see her thinking and connecting with him on a level that just amazes me. So now when my horse starts acting up, I go back to what I learned with David and it fixes everything. David has also helped me with my jumping, one of my horses liked to charge fences so David had me do different exercises to help him slow down. We worked together for a couple of days and the changes were huge. David is also very trustworthy and takes excellent care of the horses that are in training with him. He is great with people who are new to the horse world and just want to learn how to handle and be around horses. All his explanations while he teaches are clear and understandable. If you don't understand something he will take the time to explain it further. When David is around the horses he is calm and patient, but can be firm when need be. I have seen him work with all kinds of horses from slow and lazy warmbloods to hot and crazy thoroughbreds and he handles them all with the greatest of ease, horses just naturally trust him. I definitely trust him with my horses. Thank you David for all your help, I could not have been as successful without you.
